Les Suprêmes bring home gold

Last week, Les Suprêmes’ junior and senior synchro figure skating team came home from Sweden with medals hanging from their necks.

The junior team brought home gold, while the seniors won bronze at the Leon Lurje competition in Gothenburg.

Grace Letouzel said her team was “really proud of our performance.” (Submitted photo: Mike Letouzel)

“Overall last week was one of my favorite competition experience so far throughout my four years of synchro,” said Grace Letouzel in an email. The L’Orignal native is part of the junior team.

“We didn’t want to be too technical about it and we wanted to have fun,” she added.

The next step for the junior team is the Canadian Synchronised Skating Championships in Calgary between February 24 and 26, and the Junior World Synchronised Skating Championships between March 10 and 12, in Mississauga.
