Matthew is The Review's news editor.

He was part of a team that live-blogged the 2008 Election Night and was a live, on-air TV correspondent for TV Cogeco 11.

Born in England, Matthew moved to Canada at the tender age of four and, after exhausting travels all over the Maritimes, Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec and the Greater Toronto Area, he finally settled in Hawkesbury, Ontario.

Matthew graduated from Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute in 2002 and moved to Ottawa to study Journalism at Algonquin College. He graduated from the college in 2004.

For the first year after school, he worked in retail while still writing on the side - though he was relieved when The Review offered him a full-time position.

He loves gadgets and technology, words and travelling.

In 2006, Matthew made a name for himself in the community by covering the gas explosion of a house in Vankleek Hill. He most recently won second place for best feature photo at the Ontario Community Newspaper Association awards gala.

He had no idea community journalism could be so interesting.
