NOTICE OF A COMPLETE APPLICATION AND OF A PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Champlain received a complete application and will hold a Public Meeting on the 12th day of February 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at the Township Office, 948 Pleasant Corner Road East, to consider a proposed a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law No. 2000-75 of the Township of Champlain under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.

The zoning by-law amendment affects lands between 1078 and 1098 on the North half of Lot 10 Concession 5 and having the Roll Number 0209.006.005.07200, in the former Township of West Hawkesbury now in the Township of Champlain, as shown on the Key Map below. The subject site is within the ‘Rural Policy Area’ of the Official Plan of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Official Plan (UCPR).

The zoning by-law amendment proposes to change the zoning category for lands between 1078 and 1098 Borris Road from “Rural” (RU) to “Residential Rural” (RR) in order to create a 4000m2 residential lot. Obtaining a zoning bylaw amendment is required in order to meet a condition of severance. Reference File Number B-058-2019.
