On November 6, 2019, shortly after 3 p.m., a Russell County Ontario Provincial Police officer received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle in Embrun, Ontario.

This unknown male motorist was driving a red vehicle. He stopped on Notre-Dame Street offered to give a young person a ride.

Assistance is being sought from the public in helping to identify the driver and/or the vehicle.

The driver is described as:

  • Male between 50 – 60 years-of-age
  • Caucasian
  • Skinny
  • Grey/White hair
  • Wearing a long sleeve white and blue dress shirt
  • Speaking fluent English

The vehicle is described as:

  • Clean, dark red, four-door hatchback, similar to a Hyundai Elantra, 2016 or older
  • Ontario plates with licence beginning with “B”

Police encourage parents to discuss and review “Stranger Danger” tips with their children.
